It’s that time again, my favorite fundraiser is back (with a few changes). Sanctuary for Kids launched its winter fundraising campaign today, ‘Pieces and Places.’ In years past they did the house campaigns where you can donate money as a group to buy bricks and the bricks form a house. This time it’s a little different. Instead of bricks, we make puzzles pieces and instead of houses, we form puzzles. The end result is the same but they’re switching it up on us this time.
For those of you that are new to this fundraiser, it’s really quite simple. When you go to the Sanctuary for Kids website to make a donation, just put what your donation is going towards in the comment box. I’ve contacted Sanctuary for Kids and sent them the group name Mutu (it means heart in Nepali) so anyone who would like to take part in this puzzle building group would put that the donation is going towards building the Mutu Puzzle. That’s all there is to it. You may donate any amount you like, as many times as you’d like.
For every $20 raised per group, you get a puzzle piece. There are 50 pieces per puzzle so each puzzle is $1,000. That’s half of what a house was so I know we can build at least one puzzle together. I say we shoot for two puzzles though. If we manage to build two or more puzzles, I’ll try to find something cool to give away. The campaign runs from now until February 14th so we have plenty of time to build a whole bunch of puzzles together.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me via email, twitter or facebook and I’ll try to help.
I can’t wait to see all what all the puzzles are going to be!
